Recognized as Leading Innovative Enterprise in Latin America Through
'Tres Mares Innovation Prize'
Oncobiomed was awarded the Tres Mares Innovation Prize
at the FIU Americas Venture Capital Conference
MIAMI, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Tres Mares Group awarded Oncobiomed
with the "Tres Mares Innovation Prize" during the Americas
Venture Capital Conference held in Miami on the 17th and 18th
of November 2010. The award highlights companies whose creative
efforts are leading the development of innovative products or
services that impact the Americas and beyond.
Oncobiomed received a cash award in the amount of US$10,000 and
was presented with an original piece by Colombian artist Miler
Lagos valued at US$5,000. "This award is intended to promote,
nurture and develop the abundant creative talent that we have
in Latin America and give them the tools and opportunities to
let these ideas grow. By fostering the entrepreneurial spirit
of innovation we are propelling the Americas into the 21st century
global economy," said Boris Hirmas Said, Chairman of Tres
Mares Group.

company has made a central part of our business strategy and culture.
This recognition will be an important ingredient in our continued

The 2010 Americas Venture Capital Conference took place at FIU's
College of Business Complex campus. During the conference, investors

About the artist
Miler Lagos was born in Bogota in 1973. He has had solo
shows in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico, Bogota, and group shows
all over Latin America, UK, France and Germany.
He has been awarded the Gasworks Residency in London, and the
First Prize at the III Salon de Arte Bidimensional, Fundacion
Gilberto Alzate Avendano, among others. Some institutional collections
that hold his pieces include Banco de la Republica de Colombia
collection, the Rubbell family collection and the Cisneros Fontanals
Art Foundation CIFO.
On January 27, 2010 the Arthur Ross Gallery of the University
of Pennsylvania opened an installation by Miler Lagos: Silence
Dogood. The installation incorporated nearly four tons of recycled
newspapers culled from the university and city's recycling program,
sculpted into a "forest." For the project Miler Lagos
worked with the university's fine arts students. He has been referred
as a charismatic teacher and his project a pedagogic success.
